Innocence and Knowledge Acquisition: Epiphanies of Knowledge in Olga Tokarczuk’s Podróż Ludzi Księgi [The Journey of the Book-People]
The Journey and the Book are the hidden but central characters in Olga Tokarczuk’s debut novel, Podróż ludzi Księgi [The Journey of the Book-People] (1993). In Tokarczuk’s novel, the three dimensions of the journey correspond to the material, the psychological, and the esoteric religious. This paper identifies and discusses these interrelated planes of Tokarczuk’s story.
Niewinność i poznanie. Epifanie wiedzy w Podróży ludzi Księgi Olgi Tokarczuk
Podróż i Księga to ukryci, ale główni bohaterowie debiutanckiej powieści Olgi Tokarczuk Podróż ludzi Księgi (1993). W powieści tej korespondują trzy wymiary wędrówki: materialny, psychologiczny oraz ezoteryczno-religijny. W artykule te trzy powiązane ze sobą płaszczyzny opowieści zostały zidentyfikowane i przedyskutowane.
